In 1987, a client of ours had a catastrophic fire that completely destroyed their facility. They lost everything except for their data. Securing their data by design, we installed a network backup system when they became a new client. Because they followed proper protocol of having an off-site backup tape, within days their programs and data were restored on a new file-server and they were back in business at a temporary location fulfilling existing orders and taking new orders from their clients. What could have put them out of business was nothing more than a bump in the road.
